Stroke is nothing but distance moved by the piston from BDC to TDC in engine cylinder for ex. two stroke engine means, the piston of two stroke engine travels two times (1 up & 1 down) to complete one cycle. The unit of stroke is meter or mm.

Stroke is the distance travelled by the piston inside its cylinder. Therefore its unit can be expressed in mm or cm or m

Stroke means the maximum distance travelled by the piston from top dead centre (TDC) to bottom dead centre(BDC).
  The unit of stroke is mm.

Stroke is the unit of kinematic viscosity. It is denoted by v(nu).
       Kinematic viscosity, v=Dynamic viscosity/density
                                        =μ/ρ
Unit of kinematic viscosity is m2/s in SI system.In CGS system the unit of kinematic viscosity is stroke. You can get the relation between SI & CGS unit just by converting meter into centimeter. Thus 1stroke=10-4 m2/s

Stroke can be defined as the distance between the extreme positions of a link in the prismatic pair. The most common example is the piston (distance between top dead centre and bottom dead centre). Here the piston-cylinder comprise of the prismatic pair, where piston has to and fro sliding motion and cylinder is the fixed link.

Iqbal, the unit of kinematic viscosity is stoke not stroke. Stroke is the distance traveled between the two extreme positions, in case of a piston it is the distance traveled by the piston from BDC to TDC.

Reciprocating moment of piston is called as stroke.That means piston moved from top dead center to bottom dead center or vicevarsa. stroke is calculate as stroke length units are mm or m

The distance the piston moves from TDC (Top Dead centre) to BDC (Bottom Dead Centre) , and its unit is mm or cm since it is a linear distance.

Stroke=the drift or displacement or a blow of a substance under gentle pressure.

In case of IC engine, the piston inside the combustion cylinder displaces no. of times depending upon the gas cycles.

TDC=Top dead centre
BDC=Bottom dead centre
1 STROKE = a single blow of piston from TDC to BDC (SUCTION STROKE) or vice versa and is measured in cm or mm.
