when u pass or send the data through hub or switch if it's working on layer 1 then they both are consider single collision and single broadcast domain.in collision domain your destination pc find out by mac address then the hub and switch broadcast who port reply then send the data that's why create collision. collision called (data accident).

why they are single collision and single broadcast ?

ans:-they have no filter table in layer 2 device all device has a filter table

Collision Domain: If you have 10 Ticket counters in a Reservation counter, you can reduce the rush, similarly, a switch can provide 24 ports to avoid colission of data.

Broadcast Domain: is based on number of LAN's that will recieve information if you try to send data from a device like hub or switch.

Both are virtual group, collision domain are group of computer in a network that share bandwith c/a collision domain, collision domain decrease the data rate.
Broadcast domain are the group of com. in a netwrok that share broadcast mean broadcast goes on every com., it is also decrease data rate transfer.
