Earthing is the main source to protect the system which consists of various devices by connecting to the ground, whereas grounding is the process of connecting all the devices to a common point which is the earthing point.

RE: What is the difference between Earthing & groundin...
I think not sure we are using grounding if need to protect electrical circuits by connecting all passive and active elements to commen point inside devices but earthing is used normally wherever electro-static currents resulted due to for example lightening such as GSM MW towers and connected directly to the earth.

GROUNDING IS USED TO PROTECT THE CURRENT CARRYING ELEMENTS LIKE (LIGHTING ARRESTERS )LIKE SO HERE WE PROTECT BY CONNECTING PHASE TO GROUND EARTHING IS USED TO PROTECT NON CURRENT CARRYING ELEMENTS.PHASE TO EARTH.

RE: What is the difference between Earthing & groundin...
Actually current is nothing its simply flow of charges.earthing is a wire which is common to all the points in a circuit used to complete the circuit it is compulsory .while grounding is used to pass leakage of charges to the ground it is used for safety measure but not compulsory.
