1: I helped the management to chose best available and suitable automation tool.
2: I developed automation framework according to each applications requirements and functionality.
3: I installed automation tool accross all test machines and labs for all teams.
4: Mostly i created Data driven automation scripts which will can reusable actions/scripts and then get input data from MS excel or MS access.
5: I generated result reports through automation tools so that manual testers and management can review the failures or defects.
6: I used automation tools to repetitively excecute regression test case for days and nights with out human intervention. Cost and Time effecitve and less human errors.

That is how I used automation tool at my job.
