Manually we use to write test cases where as in automation we use to generate test scripts.

Test case is a document that describes an input,action and its expected result in order to determine if the feature is working correctly or not.

Test Script is a program or logic to for comparing the actual and expected result. But in practice test script will be different from the test case when ever we are  using automation tool.
