The major difference is that in Contract, we have to raise contract release order which is based on quality contract or value based contract.

While, in Scheduling Agreemnet we dont need to raise any PO, because we maintaine the delievery schedule in ME38 by maintaing the delievery date and scheduled quantity.

customisation means to make or change according to the requirement the clients.

cofiguration means arranging in a particular way.

Configuration Means, Configuring from the Scratch for suppose we are creating Chart of Account. At Configuration we creat COA code at OB13 and assign it company code and then create GL Master records. No copy from other company codes won't be there.

But at Customization, we copy them for differenct source and modify/customize according to the clients requirementn.

Customization is a tailor made approach to suit business client requirement.
Configuration is nothing but changes in tables

CUSTOMIZATION is what using the SAP preconfigured functionality and enabling transactions to work.
CONFIGURATION is what designing new functionality out of SAP configured transactions.
