I have been called up for the tech interview on next week for the post of Network Engineer. Help me out the procedure and what they are looking for the said position from us?

Networking is divided is only in seven layers. In which Physical Data link Network and Application layer is most imp.

most probebaly all que. from these layers.

and u must know about server 2000 and 2003

hi vijay

first of all best of luck for ur interview!


1)u should have idea of OSI layers

2) should know abt some basic commands like PING IPconfig

3)should know abt IP addresses.

4)which type of IP class does india use?

5)ethernet

6)Traffic control algo like leaky bucket and token bucket

Ya Every answer is correct still you have to prepare some basic Like
DNS
DHCP
WINS
Trouble shooting with network
Router concept
and Domain Concept
if you know mail server it will be good for you
