THe defualt Sql Return by the source qualifier can be over writne by using source qualifier.Transfermation is Source qualifier transfermation.

Besides the answers above, in Session properties -> transformations tab -> source qualifier ->SQL query - by default it will be the query from the mapping.  If you over write it, this is also called 'SQL override'
