based on the test factors applying on the application, resources(test engineers) available for the factors project management people prepare the estimation time for the testing effort

Actually time estimation is not so simple; you know.Just methodology is not sufficient to estimate time; ofcourse its also a factor to consider.We have to see all resources available, Project risks, SDLC followed, and much more things.

Time of testing efforts depends on various factors as the size of project,dates of project release,available resources to do testing,budget for testing.
