If speed of car travel at 45 kmph, it reaches destination by 10 minutes late. If it increases speed by 15 kmph more it reaches destination by 5 minutes late. What is the distance from home to destination?

 suppose that arriving time is x

speed =destination/time

45*1000/60*60=dest/x+10;   (45*1000/60*60)*(x+10)=dest

60*1000/60*60=dest/x+5   ; (60*1000/60*60)*(x+5)=dest

45(x+10)=60(x+5)

x=10 min

so

dest=(45*1000*20)/60*60

dest=250 meter

Let us consider the distance bt home and its destination is : x kms


we know (distance/ speed ) = time

(x/45)-(x/60) = (15/60)hrs

So, x=45kms
