Even If A runs 110 yards, A wins the race. Because, in the first round A completes 100 yards while B is at 90 yards. In the second round A stands 10 yards behind B, so A has to complete 110 yards.By relation100:90110:?(110*90)/100=99When A completes 110 yards, B can complete only 99 yards. So A wins even he runs 110 yards.

A and B took part in the race 100 yards

When A reached destiny B was at 90.

Suppose A took 10minutes to finish the race

A's speed is 100/10=10yards per minute.

B's speed is 90/10= 9 yards per minute.

Suppose A started 10 yards behind he takes 1minute extra to finish the race so he finishes the race in 11minutes.

Where as B's time is 100/9 =11.11 minutes.

So A won the race.

We can solve the problem is simple way also

When A finished 100yards ->  B was at 90yards

When A finished 110 yards-> ?

(110*90)/100=99 yards.

so A won the race.
