You can add requirements to test cases in two ways; either from Requriements tab or Test Plan tab.

Navigate to the appropriate Requirement and right click, you can find the menu to map the test case and the vice versa is available in Test plan tab.

In the test plan view, click on the required test plan, on the window pan click on the Req. coverage tab, to add click on the 'select req' icon(2nd row, first from the left). A list of requirements will open to the right . select any requirement you want to link to this particular test case and click on the left arrow key on this window. The particular req. would be linked to this particular test case.

You don't add Requirements to test case but vice versa. the right way to put it that we add or map test cases to requirements. And to answer your question, at any point in the testing process, you can add requirements in the same way as you did at the beginning.
Go into Requirements Tab
Create Requirement
Create Child Requirement

Then go into Test Plan and write the test cases you need to test that requirement and map these to the Requirements. Hope it is a bit more clear now.

Happy Testing.
