there are 4 tabs available in Testdirector.

we can change the name of Tabs as we like. Testdirector enbles us to rename the Tab . In TD there only 4 tabs are availble.

Three types of tabs avilable in Test Director :

           1) Plan Test - a) To write the Test cases (Manual & Auto )

                               b) To write the Test Script(Automation)

           2) Run Test -  a) To execute the Test Cases ( Man )

                               b) To Run the Test Script ( Aut )

          3) Track Defects - To report the Bug.

  actually all are working with test director

  but they use all tabs ? but some one said  test plan s,and test cases are written in excel sheets only can any one explain the real time senerio pls

Test director has three tabs such as Planning Tests, Running Tests, Tracking Defects.

Planning Tests:Developed a Test plan and create tests.

Running Tests:Execute the Tests created in the planning Tests phase, and analyze the test results.

Tracking Defects:Monitor Software Quality. This includes reporting the defects, determining repairs priorities, assigning tasks, and tracking repair progess.
