What are the disadvantages of recording and playback?

 Without any programming, its too difficult to create a script. its time consuming and u cant generate the script effectively. Size of the script also increases.

 

If we want to run the recorded script in win runner we should have store GUI map file if there is any changes in the object the win runner can not recognise the object so we have to learn the object once again and up date the gui file and relode the file

Another Disadvantage of Recording and Playback of the Script:

Web Applications we cannot Record the scripts as the content in the web pages changes frequently.

You cannot start scripting before the application is functional.
