Environment variable is common variable.

we dont have environment variable in WR or QTP.

how to set environment variables:

try the following steps.

1)goto system properties,

2)goto advanced tab and click on environment variables

environmental variable are the variables that are associated with the application.

In winrunner and QTP we have two types of environmental variables. that are user defined variables and System defined variables.

System Defined variables - as the name suggests, these are all the pre-defined variables in the tool

for example - testname, batch ---in winrunner

user defined means -- we can create our own environmental variables in the script.
