Pallavi,

Whe ever you create a test scipt and save and executes the script it will create.

db : Data base folder

exp: Expected Results folder

debug: debug folder

Res1: folder

if you have executed the test script in the debug mode the same debug folder is up dated.

when u have executed the test scipt in Verify mode if ur running the test script secound time winrunner will ask you for the res2 if you choose res2 then winrunner will create res2 folder other wi i you have choosen res1 it will ask do you want to update the same. then it will update the same in theres1 folder.

Hi Arnold.

In your reply you have mentioned that DB folder will be created and it will contain the database checkpoint but actually the DB folder that is created when you save a script contains the files that are created for analog recording.whenever we do the analog recording in the script those files are stored in the DB folder.

Hi all,

When u create a test and run it, these are the folders which will be created

1)Lock - This file contains the name of the user and process id. It exists as long as the test is open in the winrunner window.

2) Script - The script file in Ascii format contains the Tsl script of the test.

3) Chklist - This folder consists of checklists for checking multiple object properties.

4) Debug - This folder holds test results for test run in Debug mode

5) exp - Holds expected test results.

6) db - this folder stores internal technical information such as detailed co-ordinates  behind the analog move- locator-track statements.

If u record in Analog mode, all the analog movements will will stored in CRVX.ASC file(inside db folder).

res1 - holds results run in verify mode...

 Inside DB folder two sub folders are created

 CRVW.ASC and TM.ASC

 CRVW holds the Analog Recording Operations

 TM holds the Context Switch Operations
