 this matrix defines the mapping between customer requirements and prepared testcases by testengineers.this matrix is requirements traceability matrix or requirements validation matrix.this is used by testing team to verify how far the testcases prepared have covered the requirements of the functionalities to be tested.

A traceability matrix documents 1).User and functional requirements.2).Design specifications that address each user requirement.3). Testing references (i.e. Operational and User Acceptance) and specific objectives orStandard Operations Procedures (SOPs) which verify that the user requirements havebeen met.

it was the mapping between the custor requirements and prepared test case .the use of this is to check whether we have covered all the test cases or not?

The traceability matrix showing the relationship between test requirements and test cases.and test engineer doing all functionality covering or not?through treceablity matrix...mapping the requirement to test cases...

Traceability matrix is table which shows the use cases test cases and srs ids.orIt is defined as mapping between user requirements and test cases.

It is correct and another defination is it is document which consists of use cases srs ids and test cases.
