RE: A person who decided to go weekend trip should no...

time=distance/speed, suppose the distance is X.it should be such that total time should not exceed 8  hours.

now the speed is  30 and 40

therefore X/30 + X/40 =8 which gives u X=120 miles

RE: A person who decided to go weekend trip should no...

if we do in this way

average speed=2xy/x+y

speed=(2*30*40)/30+40

       =34.28m/hr

total time=8

distance=speed *time

           =34.28*8

           =274.28 miles    (its comming different)

and if we consider total time =16 hr

distance =34.28*16

            =548.57 miles

which one is correct m confused ,the way in which the question is written

plz reply soon
