What are value sets ?

Hi,

Value sets are nothing but a set of values, and if u want to list out the parameters we use value set.

Value set defines the segment size, data format and validation technique.

we have different validation techniques:

they are

1.Independent

2.Dependent

3.Table

4.None

etc...

Value Sets filter the criteria of choosing the segment values and also stores the data.

 Value sets are nothing but a list of values with some validations.There are 8 types of value sets.They are

1.None

2.Independent

3.Dependent

4.Table

5.Special

6.pair

7.Translatable Independent

8.Translatable Dependent

There r six Value Sets Availabe in Oracle Apps.

1)Independent

2)Dependent

3)Table

4)None

5)Special

6)Pair.
