If this is really testing your analytical skills....and not mathematics.... it is important to note what is the wastage when a skirt is made from 3.75 yards of cloth... the number 12 or what ever would then depend on how one can minimize the wastage when preparing skirts in bulk
One skirt requires 3.75 yards of cloth. How many skirts you can make from 45 yards?
