30 yards gives 8 skirts.(3.75*8=30)

so 45 gives 12 skirts

x=45yards
3.75x=45
x=4500/375
x=12skirts

45 yards = ?
its a simple formula = No. yards / yard required for 1 skirt so, 45/3.75 = 12

If this is really testing your analytical skills....and not mathematics.... it is important to note what is the wastage when a skirt is made from 3.75 yards of cloth... the number 12 or what ever would then depend on how one can minimize the wastage when preparing skirts in bulk
