Total number of questions = 200
number of maths prblm      = 50
examination hours             = 3 hours

    converting hours into minutes=3*60=180minutes
    Number of other questions     =200-50=50
    Time taken to complete 150 questions = 150*0.72 mins=108 mins
                    (for maths prblms, the time taken  to complete each ques should be doubled than taken for the other ques)
    Time taken to complete 50 maths prblm=50*1.44 mins=72 mins

other question=150

maths=50

total time=3hours=180 min

as maths takes twice the time of other ..the equation can be made as

x=time for one question

(150*x)+(50*2x)=180

150x+100x=180

250x=180

x=.72 min

for maths 2x so 1.44min

50*1.44=72min

Let M = minutes spend on each math question

then 50M + ( 200 - 50 )( M / 2) = 3 x 60 min.
===> 50M + 150 x M/2 = 180 min.
===> 50M + 75M = 180 min.
===>125M = 180 min.
===> M = 180/125 min.
===> M = 1.44min,

Answer: Each math question spends 1.44 min.
