If the entire band of frequency is considered for transmission the sampling rate would be 2*20khz (= = 40khz ) or above in such a case the probable answer would be option "d=64Khz"but for transmission of voice over telephone - called as voice frequency the freq. range is 300hz-4khz, thus the sampling rate must be 2*4khz=8khz
