RE: Mr. and Mrs. Aye and Mr. and Mrs. Bee competed ...
In three games men won more games than women (therefore at least 2) and Ayes won more games than Bees (therefore at least 2). Also if a player lost s/he did not play the next game. Therefore Mr. Aye must have won his game (Ayes 1 Bees 0; Men 1 Women 0). Mrs. Aye is out.For the Ayes to win 2 games Mr. Aye must have won the second game. (Ayes 2 Bees 0; Men 2 Women 0)In order for a woman to win a game Mrs. Bee must have won her game against Mr. Bee (Ayes 2 Bees 0; Men 2 Women 1).So Mr. Aye never loses. Duh.

this puzzle is from george j. summers puzzles and teasers'Answer is Mrs Bee george has given a confusing and long explaination here is my versionMr aye beat mrs aye in first game (bee cant be playing since ayes are supposed to win more games if one of them is out then even if both ayes can win against the remaining bee it violates the other conditions think )now two casesmr aye vs mr bee >> winner mr aye (aye win more games than bee)mr aye vs mrs bee >> winner mrs bee (women win atleast one game)hence mrs bee playes the finalist and beat him
