AM=Mr. Aye

AF= Mrs. Aye

BM=Mr. Bee

BF=Mrs. Bee

The possible sequence of matches can be :

AM(Win) Vs.AF

AM(win) Vs. BM

AM Vs. BF(win)      Hence Mrs. Bee never lose.

In three games, men won more games than women (therefore, at least 2), and Ayes won more games than Bees (therefore, at least 2). Also, if a player lost, s/he did not play the next game. Therefore, Mr. Aye must have won his game (Ayes 1, Bees 0; Men 1, Women 0). Mrs. Aye is out.For the Ayes to win 2 games, Mr. Aye must have won the second game. (Ayes 2, Bees 0; Men 2, Women 0)In order for a woman to win a game, Mrs. Bee must have won her game against Mr. Bee (Ayes 2, Bees 0; Men 2, Women 1).So Mr. Aye never loses. Duh.

this puzzle is from george j. summers "puzzles and teasers'Answer is Mrs Bee,,, george has given a confusing and long explaination,, here is my versionMr aye beat mrs aye in first game (bee cant be playing since ayes are supposed to win more games, if one of them is out, then even if both ayes can win against the remaining bee, it violates the other conditions,, think,,,)now two casesmr aye vs mr bee >> winner mr aye (aye win more games than bee)mr aye vs mrs bee >> winner mrs bee (women win atleast one game)hence mrs bee playes the finalist and beat him,,,,

BM(win) vs BF
AM vs BM(win)
BM vs AF(win)
AF never loses a game.

@anand you missed one condition that Aye win > Bee win
In your solution , B winning > A winning
so the solution as listed above is M=male F = female
1) AM(win) -- AF ( first match is couple)
2) AM(win) - BM ( second match aye win 2 matches out of 3)
3) BF(win) - AM ( AF and BM cannot play as they lost matches. also women won 1 match)
hence Mrs Bee (BF) did not loose a game

BM VS BF(WIN)
AM(WIN) VS BF
AM (WIN) VS BM
So,AM never loses a game..
*it is not mandatory that everyone has to participate in the game,so AF didnt take part in that game
