web server is the one which provides web pages to user or clients and application server is eg. mobile application connect to net and data base server eg. gmail account..

Web server - which holds the information of sites
Application server holds info of all the application we use

IN Web Server We Design a Web site make it Public/private and fetching it for information Throughout organization or out of organization.
IN Application Server,We Stored the Application/Software Setup,And calling the server for installing the application in Desktop/Lap,etc,by Using The Network,IN Mainly used in Organization/FIRM,
IN Data Base Server.Using For Stored USER Data,like Emails,Profile etc,Just Like SQL Server,Microsoft OS base server
