Difference between logical and physical Data

What is difference between logical & physical data and what do mean by physical & logical backup of data ?

physical data belongs to os level and logical data belongs to sql level

Logical data is nothing but tables, views, indexes, tablespaces etc while the physical data refers to dbf(database) files, control files etc...

coming to logical backup: logical backup is simply HOT BACKUP of logical objects of the database ie tables, views, schema's, tablespaces etc but physical backup is COLD BACKUP, In this you simply shut down the database and copy all the datafiles,control files of the database.
