What are the general differences between the desktop intelligence and web intelligence

1. Desktop Intelligence 2-tier architecture known as full client. Web Intelligence is 3-tier architecture known as thin client.

2. You have install BO for Desk-I , where as web-i can be accessed through web.


3. Data providers for Desk-I - universe, Free-hand SQL, Stored procedures, personal file (excel, txt etc), XML files, and VB macros. Web-i - only universe

Desktop Intellignce is 3-tier architecture (Full client), where as Web Intelligence is 2-tier architecture (thin client).
