Complex join in alias table

Why and how do you use complex join in alias table?

1) When ever the join between the tables is other than equal operator the join is complex join.
2) If we use AND operator in physical join it refers to complex join.
3) In BMM layer we can change the type of join like inner OR outer, this is also refers to Complex join.
