Universe designer is used to create universe which will be used in desktop intelligence to create reports.

BO XI is also having an import wizard tool which will be used for taking backup in biar file format. even you can restor that backup data to your repository with the same tool.

One more report conversion tool is there which will be used for converting desktop intelligent report to infoview report.
