The DataGrid default view is tabular form and optionally supports selecting, sorting, paging, and editing the data

The default view of the gridview is the no of row and column of the table which is bind with the gridview.

Many had said something regarding the default view of datagrid but once you place a datagrid and execute your program without binding data into it over ASP.Net you get nothing so in ASP.Net I can give you a conclusion that without binding the data into datagrid the default view is nil.
