RE: what is EME?
EME is data repository as well a version controller component of Ab Initio software.
It keeps track of objects such as graph dml xfr ksh sql file and other reated elements in a sandbox. It also works as source controller. By the use of developers can lock a particular code from undesired changes by other users. /Project dir of EME contains common directories for all application sandboxes connected to it. It also helps in dependency analysis of codes. Ab Initio has series of air commands to manipulate repository objects.

RE: what is EME?

EME stands for Enterprise Meta Environment. It is nothing but like a repository in Informatica. It contains all the metadata i.e data related to graphs dml xfr etc. It performs the following functions
1. Version conttrolling
2. Statistical analysis
3. Dependency analysis
4. Version controlling
etc things

RE: what is EME?
As explained by Abishek EME is the data repository(Datastore's data files) as well a version controller compoent of ab initio software. It keeps track of obhects such as graph dml xfr ksh and sql. It is very important when doing the changes to any graph or ksh by developers when one developer is doing the change it will lock so that others can just do readly only it cannot modify unless the lock is released. You can use the air command to modify any objects in EME datastore.
