What is ON DELETE CASCADE ?

When ON DELETE CASCADE is specified ORACLE maintains referential integrity by automatically removing dependent foreign key values if a referenced primary or unique key value is removed.

Depending on the situation we can use the ON DELETE CASCADE. When we
want to delete the parent record automatically the child records also
deleted when we use the ON DELETE CASCADE.

for deleteing master record with out deleteing the child records on delete cascade is used. in this case when ever master record is deleted all the child record will be deleted automatically.

Does not consider parent-child relationship.

On deletion of parent record child records are deleated automatically but vise versa is'nt true
