What are test case formats widely use in web based testing?

Can any one give an example of test case which will be suitable for websites even there should be place to add the screen shots.

I tried it in excel it is very uneasy to follow that without the screen shot for the programmers in our office?
can any one suggest me an idea????

Regarding test cases, there is no difference between web based or client server based...

Usually Excel sheets are the best option for test cases (if you are not using any tool). However if you want to use any screen shot, you can use MS-WORD, where you can create a template (in the form of table). The table fields can be taken from excel format and in addition, you can use screenshot in one of the table cells.

Hi,

From your question i understood that you are adding screen shots when the test case is falied.

for this you can use bug tracking tools for posting issues. there are so many open sourse tools in the market. however you can use Mantis and install it in your office.

In that you can raise a defect for failed test cases and also you can add screen shots.
