Infoview is a BI portal through which you can access the WebIntelligence and the 3-tier full client documents along with the word and excel files.

Difference between 6.5 and BOXIR2 is,

The architecture for both is entirely different
There is no concept like Supervisor Module in XIR2. Instead CMS is there
You can create WebI reports from Multiple Universes in XIR2
Merging of dimensions is possible in XIR2
Feature of cascading prompts is provided in XIR2
