How to report defects using QTP if we do not have Quality Center Server?

we are not able to generate defect reports with QTP

we can see the results but we can't generate reports

Hi,

We can report defects even if you dont have QC.

Create a  Folder Structure which as Results folder in it. Make these folders available to those who want to see the result.

Set this folder path in QTP Settings.

Hi,

Here QTP shows the mistmaches in test results once you finished the test then we can study and analize the mistmatches then we can file defects through our external defect management tools(Bugzila,QC,TD).

See it is possible with out test director connection.

After executing the script u got results in the results window, while executing the script u will write a script one test is pass that result will goes to data table . after executing script , test is passed and failed it will in the data table.

after getting results in the datatable . u can use datatable.exportsheet(file name)
