Can any one solve this, let me know the process steps?In HRMS Module i terminated one employee on 4-May-2006 with the Settlement date of 31-May-2006 and the Actual date is 5-May-2006, In this case on which date is going see the 'Person Type as: Ex.Employee' and What date we are going to see in effective date?

On may 5th.Settlement is for legislation proceedings, like paying his bonus etc after adjusting salary etc.

Hi,

You can always view that employee even though you have terminated him. Just query for that employee and you will see that the person is there as an ex- employee with some effective start date.

When you terminate an employee from the front end, whatever value you provide as the actual termination date will be his last working day.

For example, if you terminate an employee on say 1-Dec-2006, with the actual termination date as 15-Dec-2006, the employee will have status of employee till 15 Dec 06 and after that he will be treated as ex-employee(from the next day, i.e., 16Dec06). You can check this by giving effective date which falls in that range.

When you terminate an employee in Oracle HRMS, A new record is added in the per_all_people_f table with Employee Type Ex_employee from the next immediate date.
In your case you are terminating the employee on 1-dec-06 with the actual termination of employee on 15-dec-06.
So the Employee type will be "Employee" till 15 dec 2006
And  Employee type will be "Ex-Employee" from  16-dec-2006 till 31-dec-4712.

The settlement date is of no importance.
The user has added the termination of the employee on 04-may-2006 for the 05-May-2006.
This means that the last working of the employee will be 05-May-2006 , so the person type of the employee will be Employee on 05-May-2006.
The Employee type will change to Ex.Employee on 06-May-2006 (as effective start date) with effective end date as 31-dec-4312.
