Hi,

You can not validate all the mappings in one go. But you can validate all the mappings in a folder in one go and continue the process for all the folders.

For dooing this, log on to the repository manager. Open the folder, then the mapping sub folder, then select all or some of the mappings(by pressing the shift or control key, ctrl+A does not work) and then rightclick and validate.

We can validate all the mappings at single time. I think that is in targets menu or mappings menu there is an option called queries from there you can validate all the mappings at a time.

Guru,

It is not possible to validate all the mapping to which is present in Repo either from Repo Manager or Designer.

The reason , There could be more than one folder, Each folder may contain some mapping. however you can open one folder at once to validate.

Also you can see any object based on the folder not repository. till Informatica 8.

We can validate all mappings at a time which are in a single folder level in Repository. Steps to follow:

In power center Designer:
Goto Tools => Queries

1. Create "New" Query in Query browser

2. Query editor will be opened, provide the Query conditions:
Folder is equal to < folder_name >
Object type is equal to "Mappings"

3. Execute the query, so that it list outs the all mappings in query result window.

4. Select single or multiple mappings and right click and "validate".
