In V model, testing is carried parellely in the Requirements gathering, Design stages. can i know what is the role of testers in this stage and how is it done?

The level of test is the primary focus of a system and derives from the way a software system is designed and built up.

Steps for testing:

1) Unit testing

2) Interface Testing

3) System Testing

4)Acceptance Testing

5) Release Testing

6) Regression Testing

V-stands for verification and validation. This model defines mapping inbetween developing stages and testing stages.BRS.....UATSRS.....System testingHLD.....Integration testingLLD's.....Unit testing coding

The Role of the tester at the time of Requiremement Gathering and designing of V-model - would be Creating System test Plans Integration Test Plans and Unit Test Plans.

Pls correct me if i am wrong

yes the role of testers starts at req gathering nd analysis phase by Preparing Test Plan. At the coding stage there will be a cyclic process for development and testing team. and next goest to integration phase System testing and finally with User Acceptance testing.

Sw rs Sysyem testing
Integration Modules (Hld) Integration Testing
Components (lld) Component testing
coding Unittesting
