Test cases for Pen are,

1. Dimension of the pen,
2. Color of the pen,
3. GUI testing: logo of the pen maker,
4. Load testing
     4.1 Total length that pen can write,
     4.2 Strength of the nib,
5. Usability testing: grip of the pen.
6. Against the surface it can write.
7. Hanger provided in the cap,
8. Integration testing: body of the pen should perfectly fit with the cap of the pen,
9. Ink in the pen, at what temp does the ink get blocked.
10. Size of the nib like 0.5mm/0.6mm
11. Load test: when pen is pressed hard against the hard surface then refill should not come out of the pen from the backside.

Test cases for Pen are,

1. Verify color of the Pen: Pen cap color should matches with the ink color
2. Verify company label displaying on the Pen. label should be as per manufacturers provided text.
3. Verify user ability to dismantling of Pen to change refil.
4. Verify screw fitting while dismantling or assembling Pen.
5. Verify cap fitting to the Pen.
6. Verify Grip, when user try to keep pen in pocket.
7. Verify writing of pen on user specified surface.(ex: Paper)
8. Verify writing of pen on different surfaces other than user specified surfaces(ex: Wood)
9. Verify cover on the niddle, before user wite with pen cap for first time.
10. Verify length of niddle displaying out side of the pen.
11. Verify user ability change niddle of the Pen.
12. Verify user ability change the rifil of the Pen.
13. Verify leakage of ink to out side, when ink come out from the pen.
14. Verify functionality of pen, when niddle hits surface from the height.
15. Verify breakage of pen parts, when fell down from the height.

Check the outer colour of the pen is it against the product specification.
Check the cap of the pen has it been provided as mentioned or shown in the cover photo of the pen.
Check the dimension of the pen from outside its length, diameter as it is cylindrical.
Check the dimensions of the nib like its tip diameter, and the length of the nib .
Check the ink colour when we write on a paper with the pens nib, is it according to the mentioned specification of the pen.
Check the grip of the pen with our hand when we write on the paper lightly as well as hardly.
Check whether the pen is an ink pen or a ball pen.
Check how much of ink is store in the pen if its the ink pen.
See how much the pen writes in a single stretch without interruption.
Check whether the pen ink or ball does it spill ink while writing on the paper.
Check the pen is a blue, black or any other colour pen.
Check whether the logo of the company manufacturer is there on the pen.
Check the outer colour of the pen is it blue, black, red or any other colour

First ask following questions to the interviewer:
1. What type of pen it is? (table Pen or Pocket Pen)
2. Fountain Pen or Ball Pen?
3. If Ball Pen, ask has it cap on the top or push switch on the bottom?

Test Case # : TC -001
Description: Ball pen
Pre-requisit: None
Test Script:
Step 1. Verify the ball pen has three parts:
1, Cylindrical Stem, Conical head with a hole in the vertex and a cap on the head or push button on the
bottom.
Expected Result: The pen has the three parts, Cylindrical Stem, Concial Head with a hole in the vertex, a cap on
the head, or push button on the botton.
Step 2. Verify ball pen has ink catirage ball point attached to it and a spring (in case of having push button)
Expected Result: The pen has ink catirage and ball point attached to it, (having a spring)
Step 3. Verify upon pressing the push button the ball point comes out from the vertex.
Expected Result: Upon pressing the push button the ball point comes out from the vertex.
Step 4. Verify upon pressing again the push button the ball point goes in the vertex.
Expected Result: Upon pressing again the push button the ball point goes in the pen stem.
Step 5. Upon writing on the paper the impression appears in the color of the ink stored in the catirage.
Expected Result: Upon writing the impression appears on the color of the ink stored in the catirage.
