Hi Pal,

Non Functional Requirement is some thing like, What should be GUI colour of the application. What should be font of the field captions, buttons, message titles. What should be the style of the field captions, button captions, message.

Ex . With in three clicks user should be able to access the required screen.

The page should load with 1 sec (With out). With data ranging between 10000 and more page should load with 4 - 5 secs. (For Windows applcation)

Application should be able work 24/7.

These are the few examples of NoN - Functional requirements.

According to me the non functional requirements are... reliability, usability, efficiency, delivery time, software development environment, security requirements, standards to be followed etc.if there is any better answers then pls do mail me.....

Graphical display of the application is non functional requirements. Eg:, an image needs to be displayed,is the requirement, but that image is not linked with any other object/link, is non functional. So that image will be considered as Non-Functional Requirement.

Hi All,

Basically Non-Functional requiremts are never mentioned by Clients.
Its the we people who have to take care of these requiremnets.

Non Functional requirements states requirements related to securities issues, aunthenticatioin, authorizarion, performance issues etc.
