it may not be sure stopper , it might be show stopper, which means a blocking issue, that you are not able to continue testing because of that issue, or the application is crashing

Yes, It is 'Show- Stopper'. Show-stopper is a bug in the application because of which furhter testing of the application is not possible.

In my experience a "show stopper" bug just means a bug that must be fixed before the product ships.
