The different types of recording methods in win runner are two types:

1.context sensitive mode.

2.Analog mode.

The context sensitive mode records mouse and key board operations with respective objects and window in your application build.

shortcut key(F2).

The analog mode records record mouse pointer moments on the desktop.

To change one mode to another mode (F2).Press twice on start recording icon

for analog mode

There are two types of recording methods in Winrunner:1. Context Sensitive Recording: It records all the activities that are performed on the application along with all the GUI objects.2. Analog Recording: It records all the keyboard inputs, mouse clicks with the specific x and y coordinate position.

There are two type of recording in Win Runner.

identifying Graphical User Interface(GUI) objects.

2.Analog:Records the key board operations input, mouse clicks, and precise

x- and y-coordinates moved by mouse pointer across the screen.

2)      pass up             ?          It not record objects ,only record windows  

3)      object               ?          It record objects only, not  record windows  

4)      ignore               ?          It doesn?t record anything

Record: IT  instructs Win Runner to record all operations performed on a GUI Object.This is default record method for all classes.

Pass up:IT instructs Win Runner to record an operation performed on this class as an operation performed on the element containing the object.

AS Object:IT instructs Win Runner to record all operation perfomed on  a GUI

Object as though it class were object class.

Ignore:IT instruct Win Runner to record all operations performed on the class.

CONTEXT SENSTIVE RECORDING:Records  the operations you perform on your application by identifying Graphical User Interface objects.

Analog RECORDING:Records keyboard input, mouse clicks, and the precise

x- and y - coordinates traveled by the mouse pointer across the screen
