What is difference between baseband and broadband transmission?
In a baseband transmission, the entire bandwidth of the cable is consumed by a single signal. In broadband transmission, signals are sent on multiple frequencies, allowing multiple signals to be sent simultaneously.

Baseband Signalling:

1)Uses digital signalling

2)No frequency-division multiplexing

3)

Bi-directional transmission

4)Signal travels over short distances

Broadband Signalling:

1)Uses analog signalling

2)Unidirectional transmission

3)Frequency-division multiplexing is possible

4)Signal can travel over long distances before being attenuated

baseband refers to a message signal that is transmitted and broadband refers to the sending the message to every one who is having receiver

Dear Deepika

Diff betw Baseband and broadband

Baseband can carry both analog and digital signal where as broadband carries analog signal.

Baseband is like point to point communication and broadband to is point to multipoint communication.

base will carry single signal in a medium but broadband can carry multisignals through single medium with shared bandwidth
