The diff between RR and QTP is RR contain 13 verification point compared to QTP, in QTP there is no such verification point. Verification point means if you want to check alphanumeric in the box you can go for alphanumeric verification point in RR, the verification point of RR are as follows
1. alphanumeric vp
2. clipboard vp
3. region image
4. Window image
5. window existence
6. file existence
7. file comparison
8. menu
9. module existence
like it contain 13 vp
I prefer rational robot and it is easy to handle.

hiii...to say QTP is more user friendly tool...it also has verification points but the name in qtp is check points...u have standard check points,bitmap checkpoints,text,text area..and many..it is comfortable to work with qtp than rational

can u give me details about how to run project using QTP or rational or winrunner?because i know about tool,but i want to work on project using one of the above tool.can anyone guide me.

hi sandeep..

u can run ur project by firsr recording it by recording modes and playback the process which will be available in the tool bars of all tools...u can change the baseline value and playback ..n compare the acutal and expected
