In testing metrics to measure complexity of test cases we have some formula Test data complexity=testdata types/test data instances & test data density=test control variable/test data. In the above formula what is meant by test data types, instances and test control variables. Kindly give me reply with good explanation.

hi!~

see the metric represents measurement of software attributes.. the most attributes of a software can be its length ..i.e nos of coding lines..

test defect density= no of defects/no of coding lines

its the same formala u asked in your questions..

just note..no of coding lines= kloc(1000 lines of coding) in the above formula..ie if u find 2 bugs per 1000 lines...ie traffic density =2
