Testing a software designed for specific locality.

This includes translating the software strings, rearranging the UI components to preserve the original look and feel after translation, customizing the formats (such as date/time, paper size, etc.)

Hi,

Localization testing basically refers to testing an application with respect to the Region or the "locality" for which it has been developed. This typically involves testing:

- Language specific to that location

- Colors or style preferred in a country

- Graphics banned by a particular community. For eg. In many websites delaing with Finances and Savings you will find the 'Pig' denoting savings. However, this is banned in Indonesia.
