Hi,

Test cases for a Pen:

First we have to categories our test case into

1.Functional test cases (here we test the functionality of pen e.g. writing in flow or not etc.)

2.User-Interface test caes ( look n feel of pen e.g. cap facility, easy to hold, should be attractive etc.)

3. Stress Testing ( check the temperature dependency e.g can it work if temp is high or low etc.)

4. Performance Testing

if we categories every problem then we can write much test cases for that.

Regards

Pooja

I think the test cases provided at the first instance were fine  if we have been provided with the SRS. In such a case we can check the  company of the pen,the height, width and the weight of the pen, as these parameters will be covered in the SRS.

What I need to know are the functional test cases of the pen(apart from that it should write)

I think, how long the pen will write  will not be a part of a test case.It solely depends on  how often you use the pen

hi

Type of pen (ink,ball,dot etc.).

Able to write (bold/thin)

Grip of the in hand (how comforting is it to hold and write with it?)

Type of ink required (ink, gel, fluid, refillable??)

Color of the ink (red, black etc.).

Does it have a cap to protect the tip of the pen.

Does it have a pocket holding gripe for better carriage.

Kind of surface it can be used upon (hard, soft, glass, etc)

For how long can the pen be able to write non stop

Does the ink leaks in hot conditions or it seizes to flow in cold conditions

What type of body does the pen have (sleek, thick, etc.)

Is the pen branded?

I guess this is all...
