its very first u need to make that pc as member of domain.for this u should provide administrato password to authenticate

For configuring client from 2000 ads server
You need to take the following step

Right click on My Computer - Properties - In Computer Name Tab - Click
on change Tab
Then in domain box type the name of domain then click apply
give the username & password after that restart your system
Now
you are the client of ads server.

to add a client system at first we need to type of configuration logical & physical . at 1st we have to check all the client system including domain server properly connected with the hub or switch .if there is no DHCP server (DHCP SERVER ESSINE IP ADDRESS IN A NETWORK DYNAMICALLY)in the network we have to provide ip address on each system with the DNS SERVER ip address then in the clint system we have to do this configuration.SELECT my computer -> rite click -> poperties-> computername-.> click on change ->select domain name->add the domain name there ->give the administrator password therein the server system we have to create a domain user & password then login it
