hi,

 Project:- "Any Task."

A S/W project is a development project in which a s/w process is used. The actual act of executing the activities for some specific user need is a s/w project.

Product:- "End Result."

S/w products are outcomes of a s/w project. All the outputs that are produced while the activities are being executed are the products(One of which is the final S/W)

Project is the term given to applying a particular process for developing a particular product while product is the outcome of a particular process

  Was this answer useful?  Yes

Product development is done assuming a wide range of customers and their needs. This type of development involves customers from all domains and collecting requirements from many different environments.

Project Development is done by focusing a particular customer's need, gathering data from his environment and bringing out a valid set of information that will help as a pillar to development process.

hi

Depends on requirements where they are coming from we can define the product and project.

project:if the requirements are coming from outside the company i.e perticular one person or orgnaisation ,then the outcome of the task is project.

product: if the requirements are coming from with in developement company , the out come of the task is product.

Product testing is nothing but...focus is on many users reuirements is based on User needs...

for example :if we take one washing machine, fridge

that machine built based on many people needs ans expectations

project testing is nothing but: focus is on only one user...

we have to follow only one user needs and expectations..

Hi,

In response to the Question posed with regard to the difference between Project and Product, please find my views typed below.

For a Project, customer places order before manufacturing Process and for a Product, customer places order after manufacturing process.

From the above view it is evident that Project has a specific customer where as Product has a general customer.

Please do let me know your views on this...

Thanks and Regards

Product:1:Product is developing for segment of customer.
2:There is no end of development and testing because product will be keep on releasing to market version by version. So version of product we require testing and development.
3:Client like people will perform testing in product.
Ex:HP,Microsoft,Yahoo,Google,Dell and Deloitte

Project:1:Project is developing for specific client.
2:There is end of development and testing in project because whenever we satisfied all client requirements we need to stop development and testing.
3:Directly client will perform testing in project.
Ex:Accenture,Infosys,Wipro and TCS
