Picklists are of two types

1.Static Pc

2.Dynamic Pc

 In static v r having

a)Bounded-the user can select the value form the group of values  available in pick list.

Eg-List Box control in case of VB

b)Unbounded-the user can select the value form the group of values  available in pick list or he can enter his own value

Eg-Combo Box control in case of VB

( Combination of Listbox+Textbox )

Hi

Both are static picklists

the difference is that :

Bounded picklist oblige you to choose only from the existing values

Inbounded picklist allow you to add your own values incase the xisting ones don't suit your need

good luck
