ETL is a extraction,transformation,loading tool i.e  u can extract , u can transform using different transformations available in tool  and aggreagte the data. The output of this ETL tool is used as input to OLAP tool

OLAP is online analytical process, where  u can get online reports after doing some joines,creating some cubes

ETL is 2 step before OLAP

1) Sources (source of data they can b different data bases)

2) ETL (u extractl transforms and load the data )

3) Data stagging or busines subjective( then u store and stag the data)

4) OLAP (through olap u visualize different data differently)

Yes, OLAP is after ETL.  Its how user's querry the data that the ETL loaded, to do analytical work; Sales Analysis for example.

ETL Tools Extract, Transform and Load data into a database. There are many tools on the market for ETL (Business Objects, Informatica, Data Flux, etc).

OLAP analyzes the data inthe database.
